Razlog and the whole of Razlog Valley draw rich heritage from cultural monuments from different eras and civilizations – Neolithic, strip civilization, Greco-Roman civilization, Christian civilization represented by the early Byzantine and Bulgarian culture.
Razlog Municipality has preserved over the centuries unique cultural traditions together with significant cultural monuments around make it an attractive tourist center. Museums, community center, amateur ensembles and each local family preserve and carry the richness and diversity of folk art.
Archaeological excavations in the area of the Razlog valley show that life here is well attested since the Neolithic-Eneolithic era of VI -IV millennium BC. The oldest archeological finds are from the Late Bronze and Early Iron Ages / III -II millennium BC.
