LEDA Razlog

History
The history of the region forms its present-day identity as a result of the intertwining of different historical epochs from the last millennia. Each epoch has created certain material and immaterial traces, spatial structures and cultural models, a source of inspiration and knowledge of modernity.
Present
The region located between three mountains, with a rich culture and traditions, preserved unique natural environment, prosperous economy, developed infrastructure and communications, good quality of life and attracts its guests and business.
Nature
The Razlog valley is one of the highest valleys in Southern Bulgaria, and the surrounding high mountain parts of Rila and Pirin have a typical alpine appearance. Nature is diverse and very attractive with meadows, alpine lakes, rivers and streams.

Heritage
Razlog and the whole of Razlozhka Valley draw rich heritage from cultural monuments from different eras and civilizations – Neolithic, strip civilization, Greco-Roman civilization, Christian civilization represented by the early Byzantine and Bulgarian culture.
Traditions
Razlog Municipality has preserved over the centuries unique cultural traditions and customs, which together with the interesting and significant cultural monuments on the territory make it an attractive tourist center. Museums, community center, amateur ensembles and each local family preserve and carry the richness and diversity of folk art.
Findings
Archaeological excavations in the area of the Razlog valley show that life here is well attested since the Neolithic-Eneolithic era of VI -IV millennium BC. The oldest archeological finds are from the Late Bronze and Early Iron Ages / III -II millennium BC /.

Wellcome to Razlog!

Razlog Municipality is located in the southwestern part of Bulgaria, in Blagoevgrad region and is located in the great Razlog valley, which is located in the valley of the river Mesta, between the three highest and most extensive mountains in this part of the country – Pirin, Rila and Rhodope. The municipality covers eight settlements, as the municipal center town of Razlog is the administrative center of the whole region and covers the towns of Razlog, Bansko, Belitsa and Yakoruda. The larger villages in Razlog municipality are Banya, Bachevo and Eleshnitsa
